“You got your Tony Lama’s on, your jeans pressed tight….” – Jimmy Buffett
(Psst. Tony Lama’s are cowboy boots.)
Put down your cereal spoon give thanks for Eileen Duong. Not only is she lucky and generous, but she takes a wicked cell phone photo.

Yesterday, Mike turned down the Capitals 1-year, $5 million qualifying offer. Since he declined salary arbitration earlier this month, he’s still a Restricted Free Agent. Just figuring out how to sign a contract that keeps him in DC as long as I’m here! No really, Green’s deal with the Caps will likely get done. [link]
Now back to the good part…
This is obviously a little hockey clinic of some sort. If you’re going to show me tight jeans and cowboy boots, you cannot expect me to remember to ask where the pictures were taken. They’re from Canada. That’s all you need to know.
Really though, his pants. The second Gator starts laughing in the office next door I will know she’s seen his skinny jeans.
Also, that’s new ink on the back of Mike’s right hand. (The more I look at it, the more I think it’s drawn on. Very artfully, but not permanent.)
(We interrupt this program for a repeat of the breakdown I had over his sleeve tattoo. As the only person who doesn’t like them, WHY MIKE?!?!)
We’re back. I blacked out thinking about how much it must have hurt.
Focus on the boots, yeah?
Let’s hope Mike’s contract is dotted, crossed and announced soon, so we can all have as good a day as Eileen did yesterday. Thanks, girl!

Breathe, Pants. Remember how to breathe…
That hand tattoo must have hurt but he’s a seasoned hockey player so it was probably child’s play. Doesn’t make the idea of a HAND TATTOO any better but… Look at that tan! Focus on the tan and that black shirt! He’s probably waiting for the Caps to offer some more of those black shirts in their contract. That’s what I would do if i were GM GM.
I will admit, I’m cool with the sleeve (I actually really love a well-done sleeve tat), but I’m less than enthused by the hand tattoo.
I’m also keeping my fingers crossed that he’s just trying to negotiate to be rocking the red for longer than the one year they initially offered. Don’t let me down, Mikey.
You’re definitely not the only one who does not like sleeves. I think there’s not possibly enough art that could be done tastefully in tattoo form to take up one’s entire arm.
I love the sleeve but the hand tattoo it gross! And did anyone notice the tattoo of “CP” on his hand? Girlfriend?
I’m starting to think the right hand work is drawn on. Maybe CP (those are in fact his gf’s initials) drew it? It’s very well done. This is just me not liking tattoos in general, hoping otherwise. Based on nothing. 😉
If it is for the girlfriend will people never learn? Never get a name, initials or whatnot in the form of a tattoo otherwise you’ll be like Johnny Depp and have “Wino Forever” on your skin.
Oh lord, I may melt with that shaggy hair peeking out from under his hat. Tan, tight jeans, boots, fitted black shirt, tats and shaggy hair…. I’M DONE.
Congrats to Mike on signing his new contract with the Caps. May he stay healthy.
Eileen is our hero!
I like tattoos but the hand tattoo is lame. Looks like he is wearing some Britney Spears reject fingerless glove.
I could not stop laughing when I read that. Britney Spears reject finger less glove is absolutely right. I really hope it’s not real, it looks…..UGH!
What’s next? A NECK TAT? Tattoos are so freaking Lolla ’92 people. I’m so over them. Skin is in.
He should push the envelope big time and get himself a Prince Albert. INSTANT RESPECT/FEAR OF GOD IN THE LOCKER ROOM.
I think Mike borrowed the skin-tight hipster jeans from the fellow I saw at a Calgary Stampede tent party. When I can see the OUTLINE OF WHAT IS IN YOUR JEANS, they are too tight.
