Happy Birthday to Us!

What’s Up, Ya Sieve? turns 1 today!

Yea. Berfdai.

So you know what that mean…

Cake.

Mexican Coca-Colas.

Office Dance Party.

More cake.

Glitter…so much glitter…

and this…

Can't believe they're making me wear this...

365 days and here we are!

We’ve had almost 200,000 hits, which we can honestly say we never expected.  We thought we’d be lucky if we got 200, not counting the 195 hits from our moms.)

We’ve had so much fun with all of you this past year, building our own little place in  blogosphere, but we wanted to make it more fun-er. (As if that was even possible…)

We get the awesome power of evolution, much like Lady Gaga,  Madonna before her, and that Charles Darwin guy.

Hope you don’t mind but we decided to make a few little changes – ones that will hopefully help WUYS grow like the Galactic Empire and take over the galaxy…except without all the death, persecution of fuzzy woodland creatures, and giant planet-shaped weapons of mass destruction.

So here we go…

Change #1 – Goodbye wordpress.com.  Hello, whatsupyasieve.com
Ya, that’s right.  We’ve done gone and made our little blog all legit.  Our new web address is www.whatsupyasieve.com.  Bookmark that scriz.  Tell your friends.

Change #2 – Diamonds are forever.  But email comes close.
You can now email us directly!
chuck [at] whatsupyasieve [dot] com
pants [at] whatsupyasieve [dot] com

We also gave DawnCherrie one (dawncherrie [at] whatsupyasieve [dot] com) but forget about getting a response…unless your email includes photos of Alex Ovechkin in a speedo on the Black Sea.

Email us.  Show us the love.  Or the hate.  Links to videos of NHLers working out are always welcome.

Also welcome – photos of Mike Green’s hair, Tyler Seguin’s abs, and Patrick Sharp’s face.

So Happy Birthday to Us!  We’re totes not getting any work done today.  We’re gonna be too busy doing this…

Care to join us?

  1. Thanks Jess! We’ll keep it up, if you keep reading.

Oh, what is this pressie you got us? *clicks on link*

    GAH! *dies*

I already wished you guys a happy, happy birthday on twitter, but I figured I might as well do it here, too.
You guys are the reason for why I’ve probably scared my roommate out of becoming a hockey fan. Well, maybe it was Tazer’s quads or Tanger’s everything… But that’s neither here nor there.

    More for us!

    XOXOX

  3. Good thing we weren’t counting on our moms, because mine cannot a) use the internet or b) remember that halftime is not for hockey games.

Happy Birthday to us! And thanks to all of you guys. Especially Jess, for a gif of the palest werewolf ever.

Gator & I celebrated by going to the White House today. The tour does not include the spot where the Cup has been, but you can feel it. Also there are no photos of Mike Green/Patrick Sharp/Michelle Obama kids’ hockey, because the place was designed by a man.

    • Luckily, my mom is savvy with the ‘puter, but she still writes her text messages in ALL CAPS! Stop yelling at me MOM!

    Happy birthday to you!

Your blog has got me through some of the more stressful moments (I don’t know how many times I’d pull up your blog when I’d get tired of reading my nursing school notes studying for tests) of this last year, so thank you.

And here’s to another year (and more) of blogging and doing what you guys do best!

  5. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Us BU girls that live in the DC area should get together at some point this season…perhaps to celebrate midnight madness or something equally fun. BTW, Beanpot party at Crystal City Sports Pub. Be there!

Also, not sure if you gals are aware of pinterest but I have a board called “hockey stuff” (http://pinterest.com/chelski52/hockey-stuff/) and it’s mostly adorkable photos of MG52 and fun things related to the greatest sport EVER. Feel free to take from there for any Mikey Monday posts and I’ll keep my eyes/ears our for anything that should be emailed over.

Since I can’t top the ridiculously wonderful gifs the above ladies have posted as gifts, I will just say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I love everything about this blog and always look forward to seeing what’s coming next. Keep up the fantastic work!

Happy Birthday!!! I LOVE your blog! Found it about a month ago and had to spend over a week reading all the old posts. I get very excited when I see an E-mail from WUYS in my in box. Thanks for all the fun (both past and future)!

What do you mean forget about gettting a reply? HA! I just live a day late sometimes! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US … now how do I log in?

  10. Happy Birthday Ladies 🙂
Thank you for all the amazing posts that made me burst out laughing and cheered me up when I needed it. Keep up your excellent work!

Congrats on your success and happy birthday! How better to celebrate than cake and Iots of glitter! (I love glitter! And whenever you use it, there’s a little glitter on everything for weeks afterwards: your cat, your lunch, your boyfriend’s navy suit!)
The best part of the gifts you’re getting is that we all get to enjoy them.

  12. Best blog ever! I’m late on the birthday train but wanted to wish you and Intern Jeff Skinner a happy birthday. Hope you over indulge on Whatchamacallit bars. Cheers!

Happy Birthday, WUYS! I LOVE your blog – though I am a serious lurker. Thanks for making me smile often.

I am mainly a lurker here, but I love every post on it. I love my hockey and men that play hockey are yummy.
