Some things are perfect.
Okay, everything is perfect.
All hockey, all weekend long. Did you enjoy it? Did you camp out on the couch/floor, eating pizza and compounding four-letter words at the top of your lungs? Did your husband say, “I forgot how crazy you are?” (Mine did.)
Because hockey is back.
It didn’t matter how old they were:
Or how young:
It didn’t matter how long they’d been in the NHL:
Or if they were brand new:
It was all about the veterans…
The rookies…
And this Panthers’ Player of the Game hat.
One-ups the Rangers’ Broadway Hat and the Capitals’ hard hat for sure.
If you were lucky, your team is 2-0:
also Buffalo, Boston and St. Louis
If you weren’t, there’s plenty more hockey to play.
So get ready:
For more action:
Coming your way.
Hope you all enjoyed the best weekend ever.

also happened on Saturday, it’s the AHL, but it was epic! Baby Blackhawks and baby Red Wings going at it!
I couldn’t agree more! This past weekend was fantastic! Roadtripped to Columbus, OH last night to watch the Blue Jackets v Red Wings and experienced the amazing SO goal by Brunner … not to mention I think I got some nice shots of Zetterberg!
And I’ll be headed back to Columbus this weekend to see (my team!) the Blackhawks play! Can’t wait to see Taser, Kaner, Sharpie, Stahlberg and everyone in between play in person!
Thank God hockey is back!
So jealous, since the Hawks (and Oilers – who am I??) are not coming out my way this season!
Hopefully I can get some great shots of the guys! If I do, I’ll pass them along to you to help ease your pain.
Though I can’t guarantee I’ll get focused photos of Stahlberg and Sharpie since I don’t know if I’ll be able to steady my camera.
Yep, that’s pretty much all I did this weekend. Every team I wanted to win, did! Perfect way to start this season! Especially the Blackhawks! Being the only person in my house that watches hockey I got that “You’re crazy” look A LOT! =D
Tarasenko might be my new favorite because of that adorable jumping up and down he did when he scored his first goal. (Skinner better watch his back…)
Okay, that Eberle goal was just plain filthy.
It really WAS the best weekend ever – I think I watched six games! Still can’t wipe the smile off my face. 😉
such a great weekend. i was so happy just sitting on my couch soaking it all in.
i went to the devils’ home opener last night and i was literally and figuratively in my happy place. a 3-0 victory over the flyers was an awesome “welcome back” to the rock. (marty’s 120th career shut out. 120!)
