not your bummer summer!
After the NHL awards, we have try outs. I have you two booked on the East-coast for the Caps as Red Rockers and MelTing and I are booked for the West-coast try outs with the LA Kings Ice Crew. Yes, I know. Not very imaginative names for LA. I was thinking we should be Ice Damsels or Ice Wenches, even Ice-Cicles or Ice-Queens would be better than Ice Crew.

Not sure how I feel about Red Rockers though too. Sort gives me images of Grannies knitting geometrically challenged 70’s colored couch covers on porches. I think you guys should be the Red Rockets or the Hot Pants Patriots. Obviously some pencil pusher without an ounce of creativity came up with these names!

So you can’t say that we don’t have ANYTHING to do this summer. I’ve got some skating lessons with DDTBG to line up, to strap on some, ah skates I guess, and IN-N-OUT exercises that don’t actually involve eating … oh, well, um. hummmm. Let me think on that. 😉

I actually watched the video for the L.A. Kings Ice Crew tryouts (I was bored, okay?), and there were girls there that couldn’t skate! So since skating is not a requirement, I’ve got that covered.
And TBG plays the most minutes on the team, right? So we know he’s got the endurance covered…
Well thank god we don’t have to be able to skate! Then I can do laps and manage to fall into his lap face first!
Or you could fall on his face, lap first.

I think the Ice Queens is a super cute name to go with the Kings!
Though its not the ice crew, I actually have plans to audition to sing the national anthem at a Lightning game. Fingers crossed!
Sing the anthem? That would be awesome! And you don’t have to wear a tiny top and low cut yoga pants for that.

They would not let me with in 100 miles of letang. And seriously, why can’t they come up with better names. ICE CREW … seriously? why not Ice princesses or ice empresses after the emperor penguins. I mean really. how hard is this? they could even have a fan contest where we could name them and take the burden off of them. but ice crew? ugh!
I know! When I heard “Ice Crew” I assumed it was a bunch of guys in coveralls prepping the ice. I guess technically they get out there with shovels and clean up the snow, but “Ice Crew” implies that they’re grumbling and wearing work gloves while they do this.
Even work boots with skates at the bottom and cute over alls in hard hats would be better if you have to have the name but if you want people to apply you gotta sell it better than ICE CREW. You’re shoveling snot rockets off the ice …. at least make it seem glamerous!
