There are tons of first-time All-Stars (21), though it kind of makes me wonder how some of these guys weren’t All-Stars last year. Steven Stamkos split the Richard Trophy with Crosby, but he wasn’t an All-Star. Mike Green was a Norris Trophy nominee and first team all-season All-Star in ’08 (both feats he would repeat last year) and he wasn’t an All-Star. [link]

I smiled a big cheesy grin when i read the roster…good selection…and as you well know some of my favorites…even in the Rookie skills competition (go Stepan). And yes – the Toews shirt and the Lundquvist jersey (in no particular order)..just may get some play in Greece….woot!
Gary Lairman is a lying sack a stinking -rat pooh! I was watching the LA kings last night, yes, as we’ve all discussed, I was the only person in the universe doing so which is probably WHY he thought he could say, and I quote, “Yes, the LA KING will be WELL REPRESENTED in the ALL STAR GAME.” wa.. wa w.. WHAT?” one person? Anze … ok, he is their best player but what about, yes I am going there, Drew, touched by God, Doughty? surely there was room for him? wah… wah … wha …. whine whine whine! ;( sad panda face! other than that, not enough Caps for me. but you can’t have everything can you.
Oh and no Miika for goalie? SHAME SHAME SHAME. Just cause Calgary has no defense and has been sucking until they cut the dead weight up above, sorry other brother Daryl, he shouldn’t be punished, yet again! Poor guy, he’ll be this generation’s Rogie Vachon. Yes, I went there! Legends Night – Saturday! Post coming!
