Foxy Friday Kickin' It Ol' Skool.

There is nothing like your first love. Mind you, as Mr. Cherrie has warned me, you never really want to delve too deeply into these guys lives. Once you start peeling back the layers, it’s not like a Tootsie pop with a juicy, gooey, sweet chocolatey center. It’s more like an onion that makes you cry more and more. So let’s just be our normal superficial selves and stay with the surface, shall we? Because really, I’m sure that’s all that’s really going on there anyway. 😉

IT’S FOXY MIKE MODANO FRIDAY!

need I say more?

He is the top US born goal scoring hockey player EVER! Note how Canadians need to point out US born? Got a  moose on that shoulder? WHO CARES? He’s hot! He’s shirtless! When recently interviewed on HNIC he said, uncensored, in no uncertain terms, would he never appear on BATTLE OF THE BLADES! Never say never Mikey Pants!

He’s won a Stanley Cup! Shut up, Mr. Cherrie. It was Brett Hull who cheated. Mikey did not.

We will not mention who he married. That does not matter. As for the rest of the stats, do we really care? This post is FOXY FRIDAY, not MENSA MEN.  So I give you your MOMENTS OF MIKEY. Enjoy. I certainly do. He was my first but not my last. I still keep his hockey card by my bed at night.

Cassy tries to find words after that picture.
    Cassy fails.
But Cassy wants to know where Brooks is? Especially ad he’s a Caps player, eh Dawn?

Excellent FF Selection! Mike was one of my first hockey loves (him and Eric Lindros). I must have watch his scene in “The Mighty Ducks” like 1,000 times.

While his choice in a wife is dubious, he is an extremely foxy man. Pants and I can attest when we serendipitously saw him at the Viceroy in Santa Monica one night.

SCENE: Pants and Chuck at the bar, drinking alcohol.
Chuck: Hey Pants wouldn’t be be really cool if we saw a hockey player.
    Pants: Totes!
Enter Mike Modano from the door behind Pants.
    Chuck: uhhhhhhhhh
    Pants: What? What is it?
Chuck: mmmmmmmmrrrrrgggguhhhh I think our wish just came true.
    Pants: Shut the front door!
Chuck: Turn around. Slowly. And all cool like.

    • I think I was totally cool that night. Despite the fact that we couldn’t think of anything to pretend to talk about for half an hour and ended up saying “rutabaga watermelon” over and over just the look busy.

      Excellent choice, Dawn. Bravo.

You were totally cool! I think that we did a good job even though inside we were doing flips.

Mike is really that old? Whoa. I stand corrected.
Pants no longer lives in Cougar Town…
        🙂

  3. PS: GUESS WHAT?! For all the fun Chuck makes of me for liking players who are not “age appropriate,” I did a little internet data entry and came up with this gem. I am closer in age to both Crosby and Toews than I am to Mike Modano.

Mike: 9 years, 4 months and change
Sid: 7 years, 9 months and change
Jon: 8 years, 6 months and change

HA. Exit from Cougar Town. For once, math is my friend.

um … I am sad to say that I am OLDER than Mike Modano people – NOT MUCH – so let’s be SENSITIVE to the cougar town remarks. And yes, that could make me Ovi’s mom if you do the math – so math, not my friend. Years … not my friend. HA!

    • Ovi seems WAY older than his age, and I don’t think he cares how old you are. You know? He seems like a man-man, baby. I get that some of these guys are practically kids, but not Ovi.

Oh by the way, Mikey was my first NHL game too … not including some Vancouver game Mr. Cherrie made me go to that we can’t even remember who played. SORRY MR. C. XXOO

Mr. Cuzzo and I took in the game and I screamed in his ear and shook his arm off. I sent hubby photos of it though and called him all through the game. It was AWESOME!

Well I’m 35 and about to make t-shirts saying “Cougar Training Academy, prop. Mrs Robinson”

And isn’t Ovi like the Colin Farrell of hockey?

I am so bad. Two of these boys ages added together is about age appropriate to me…
